This presentation will be a sensory-friendly performance that allows families with members on the autism spectrum to better experience a Center for Puppetry Arts show. Several alterations that meet the needs of this unique audience will be employed, such as house lights on (but dimmed) inside the theater, consistent sound level and lower volume of show soundtrack, freedom for children to talk and to leave their seat if necessary, a quiet zone in the lobby and permission for guests to bring quiet/contained snacks and beverages. Sensory-friendly museum tours and Create-A-Puppet Workshops will also be available this day. An open house for ASD patrons and their families will be held on Jan. 26th from 3:30pm-4:30pm so that they may tour and preview the facilities. Online resources available soon.
This event is no longer available online and may be sold out. Please check for availability for another time or call 404-873-3391.
